NUTRITIONAL BASED DISORDERS: HOW CAN A LAY PERSON IDENTIFY THEM?

August 22nd, 2008 -- Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

So why would someone who suffers from a chronic ailment want to know how to identify a nutritional based disorder? Why not just ask their physician about an ailments origin? Answer, ordinarily you would simply ask your doctor. However, the question goes to the heart of why I write about Nutritional Based Disorders as well as to an even deeper question…..What happens when the doctors don’t know?

Like it or not, the doctors don’t know what’s wrong far more often than they care to admit. (That’s material for another article.)

Meanwhile, many times we lay people are forced to be responsible for our own health, and thus even when the doctors do know we all need to realize that we are ultimately responsible for our own health all of the time. Personally, I learned that reality the hard way. (For further understanding on this matter put into a Google search engine the phrase, “Nutritional Based Disorders” and see for your self how many ailments fit into the category where the physicians do not really know what’s wrong.)

For now, suffice it to say there are millions of people who mostly live a western culture life style who also suffer from one or more debilitating symptoms. And, when their condition does not improve, or if the physician’s testing equipment fails to turn up an actual ailment, the “patient” is often told something like,

“Well, there’s nothing more that we can do.” (”we” means standard medical testing, surgery, and drugs)

Or, “You’ll just have to learn to live with “it”". (It being debilitating symptoms that have decimated your quality of life)

Or, “Are you sure this is not all in your head?” And the physician(s) will maybe even suggest that you seek psychiatric care. (In my case 5 physicians conspired to try and convince me that 32 symptoms were psychosomatic and they each recommended that I see a shrink. And they almost had me believing it. Again, this is material for another article.) I just need to make it clear right here that it is the people who are now in a predicament similar to mine that are the main group of people who I write these articles for. Meanwhile,

What I share with you now is a concept that you might initially consider to be preposterous. I deduced it (stumbled upon really) as part of the process I used to recover from what was finally diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. The term Fibromyalgia is a physician’s “catch all” diagnoses for when they really do not know what’s wrong. Yet, most often Fibromyalgia is one of many conditions that that can be a “Nutritional and Lifestyle Based Disorder.” Whereby, the related symptoms can often respond to a regimen of nutrition and nutritional supplements better than they will to drugs (and surgery).

That said, there are two major attributes and one minor attribute that all Nutritional Based Disorders seem to have in common.

1) With respect to standard medicine, they all have no known cause or cure. 2) They all are believed to be the result of some sort of an auto-immune deficiency. 3) They are usually non-life threatening. …Let me further reiterate when an ailment or condition has these distinctions present there is a chance that particular ailment could respond to certain Food and food supplements better than it might to drugs and surgery.

So how do I know what I’m saying is accurate? You can learn it for yourself. Simply use the “Physician’s Desk Reference” (PDR) as a main source of information and general confirmation. For example,

Rheumatoid arthritis (often shortened to “RA”) is a disease in which the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues. The joints of the hands, wrists, ankles, knees, and feet are usually the most seriously affected, but the severity and pattern of the disease varies substantially from one person to another” (excerpt taken from the PDR) ["RA" seems to be the result of an auto immune deficiency] Let’s continue,

“Rheumatoid arthritis is thought to result from a combination of genetic susceptibility and exposure to some “trigger.” The specific trigger for rheumatoid arthritis has not been identified at this time.” (Excerpt taken from PDR) [It seems like "RA" has no known cause or cure.]

Continue to read through a PDR and you might be surprised at how many ailments fit the category of a nutritional based disorder. If you find that your ailment (or group of symptoms) fits into the category of a nutritional based disorder, especially if your physician(s) have patronized you about them, the question then is, “what do you intend to do about it?”

Drinkable Aloe Vera: A Step Forward to Deal with Nutritional Based Disorders

August 17th, 2008 -- Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

This is part of a series of informative articles that teaches many anti aging principles including how nutrition from food and food supplements are most essential to health and longevity.

Since at least the time of Alexander the Great certain species of the Aloe Vera plant have been commonly known as “The Healing Plant” and “The Silent Healer”. This is especially true for skin ailments such as sun burn or mild abrasions.

But did you know that modern science discovered a process to remove elements of the Aloe Vera plant that might be toxic for human consumption (such as Aloin) without compromising the other beneficial properties of the plant? Now patented, this process is used to turn the Aloe plant into a safe to drink Aloe Vera juice. Whereby, certain brands of drinkable Aloe Vera can nurture your insides the way topical Aloe Vera nurtures your skin.

An important point to consider in your decision to drink Aloe Vera juice is efficacy. Worldwide, there are an estimated 2000 brands of drinkable Aloe Vera. Yet, most people who consume most of the available brands of drinkable Aloe Vera report noticing very little appreciable positive effect. The reason for this also falls under the heading of “efficacy” which is the topic for another article.

Meanwhile, to make the decision on which brand of aloe vera juice to drink an easy one simply ask, why don’t I just stick with the original?, the one that nearly 2000 other companies have tried to copy? Most often the term original is synonymous with the best, and if it’s going into your body for the purpose to in some way enhance your quality of life then why take a chance on ingesting a copycat?

That said, there is one other issue to consider. In America, believe it or not the original safe to drink as well as good tasting aloe vera is not so easy to find. Why this is so is also the subject material for another article.

For now, suffice it to say I have tried several brands of drinkable Aloe Vera and have found that the original gave me the most positive results that in my case helped to off set the ravages of a “Nutritional Based and Lifestyle Based Disorder” known as Fibromyalgia. As far as availability, I spent time and other resources to track down and build a working relationship with one of the few suppliers for the original effective drinkable aloe vera.

For me as well as many other people who once suffered from various nutritional based disorders, the original brand I drink has become the staple source of a “God’s Own”, broad spectrum nutritional supplement. Drinkable aloe vera can be a first step on the road back from premature death at the cellular level. And in that we can begin to regain and retain quality of life.
